This is a 9m long, 2.5 ton wooden boat from a Malaysian customer. The customer chose to replace his gasoline engine because of problems such as saving fuel consumption and facilitating maintenance. As a short-distance passenger ship, the customer needs a speed requirement of 20 knots or more, and hopes to use a diesel engine to save part of the fuel cost. The solution we gave was equipped with a 150-horsepower Yuchai diesel engine and a mobile BH550 high-speed surface drive propulsion. After many tests by customers, the speed reached about 27.2 knots, which has exceeded the customer's expected speed of 20 knots. And because the test results were very good, it attracted leaders such as the former Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Director of the Fisheries Bureau to personally visit the test results and received their unanimous approval. As the first joint high-speed surface drive project, the customer is very satisfied and has high expectations for the follow-up cooperation.
